About Us
Our Mission
Music for Medicine is a DFW-based organization, headquartered at Coppell High School, dedicated to empowering high schoolers to share their music as a form of therapy. We bring live performances to various local venues, including memory care communities, hospitals, and daycare centers for children with disabilities. Our mission is two-fold: to bring healing and joy to those in need, and to inspire young musicians to harness their talent as a form of service and comfort.

Inspired by Research
Although Music for Medicine does not claim to utilize certified music therapy, our mission and approach are inspired by peer-reviewed research from multiple sources. M4M strives to make our events as effective and personal as possible; for example, live sessions foster connection and allow for on-the-spot modulation. Moreover, our outreach efforts to gain advice/feedback from music therapists and others in the field aim to expand our knowledge and improve our approach.
